Dear all, could someone help me with a question about automatic door locks on a 2006 A4 Quattro?

I had an A4 S-Line back in the UK with an automatic door lock feature i.e. if you forget to lock the door it automatically locks after a certain time period.

Well today I managed to forget to lock my door, and my car's in a public car-park miles away, so does anyone know if this feature is on a 2006 A4 in the USA?

I have a 2007, and I know mine does not do that. Only if you unlock it and do not open any door for a few minutes will it re-lock itself.

 

I have a 2006 and it only auto locks if you unlock the door with the remote and then do not open the door in 30 seconds.

 

I think it still locks after awhile. Anyway when I was working on my car for several hours, I would occasionally have to disarm and open the door because the alarm would go off.
