Default Drive chain upgrades

I'm having a hard time finding (on the web) any upgrades for my 98 Audi A4 (2.8 Tiptronic). Anyone have any suggestions. I'm not looking to break the bank, but I would like to have some quality info. There is not a lot of info out there in regards to engine or trany upgrades. As a matter of fact it seems to me that people are afraid to even suggest touching either one.

Brakes, tires, suspension haven't been a proble. Start talking about engine, chips breating (intake and exhaust) everyone I speak to drops the subject in a hurry. Even the web seems difficult to navigate when it comes to this.

any ideas

You are running a 2.8, so I'm sorry to say there is little that can be done to vastly improve the HP of your car without breaking the bank. It;s the 1.8t that has the major modding capabilities. I believe there are chips for the 2.8, but $500 for 10 measly HP is not worth it.

An exhaust will help you out, the tipchip will make your shifts quicker, maybe an intake system...

Visit: and see what they have for 2.8's...
