I'm having problems with my front driver's side window. Sometimes it won't roll up; I'll have to sit there and click the switch over and over until it works. The window goes up smoothly - no going up and down.

At first I thought it was a switch problem. I removed the door panel and tested the switch; it works fine.

I hear a noise when I click the switch; it sounds like something is trying to turn on in the window but doesn't. Also, the window seems to work better when it's pretty cold outside. Odd.

I'm thinking the motor. But maybe there is an electrical issue? Any thoughts?

probably the motor going if you can hear it trying when you hit the switch, it wouldnt make any noise if it were electrical. mine started going up and down all the time and then those stupid plastic clips broke

 

The motors begining to give... like raudi28 said if it were electrical problem then it wouldnt work at all... but you should definitely double check all your connections to make sure there arent any loose connectors or anything... if everything is good then its most likely your motor...
