Default e85 conversion

have any of you converted your engine to run on e85? if so, how does it work out? i have been considering saving up to convert my 2.8qm (the whole saving like 80cents on the gallon is a very tempting offer), but first want to see if someone else has tried it on here.

There is a thread on it. Search for "tuning for E85."

Also, it may be a lot cheaper, but you pay more because the mileage sucks ***. Google it.

You wont be saving anything if its only 80 cents cheaper then your normal gas, this is because you have to use around 30% more fuel when running E85 vs normal gas. You also end up going to the gas station way more often.

If you get 300 miles to the tank now you will get you 200 miles on E85. Lets say a tank of gas runs you $42 and a tank of E85 runs you $30. To go 300 your using 1.5 tanks of E85 which then ends up costing you $45. E85 was not meant to save you money, it was meant to burn cleaner. Dont let the price tag at the pump fool you. For it to save you money the price would have to be more then 30% less then your normal gas.
