Hmmm... interesting. How thick is that sheet of aluminum? Some of the pictures make it look like a 1/4" thick. I'm wondering if an 1/8th sheet will work, if so i've got that.

it's got some low-key mounting points that are not really visible.

And it's pretty thin, i just lined the turbo side with a heavy duty heat reflectant so that could be what's making this look bigger than they are.

cheap piece of **** from Auto-Zone i had laying around. i'll put a decent one on soon lol, it works though! no joke

It work better if the surface facing the engine was smoother (if the aluminum sheet was facing the engine instead of the "thermal pad"). It would work even better if you had a polished aluminum sheet facing the engine as well.

im impressed def. get a write up on this, i've been wanting to go with an open filter, but didnt really wanna buck up and spend the money on the sheild. this is more my style. haha. maybe get some pictures of the mounts? and how you mounted the temp sensor?

i've seen a nice one to but their really expensive....this setup cost me less than $10 lol, can't beat the hour it take to fabricate it up
