anything between like 160-200 is considered good shape. you want the numbers to be within 10% of each other because that means the cylinders are wearing evenly and there isn't some bad problem in one of them. so as long as all cylinders are between 160-200 and there isn't one(or 2) that is more than 10% different from the others, i'd buy it
so.... if
cyl 1 = 200
cyl 2 = 190
cyl 3 = 180
cyl 4 = 170
you said that should be good. but 10 percent of 200 = 20 and 20 + 170 isnt 200. so i shouldnt but it then? (thrs a flaw in your system? or im i jus retarded?)

I guess you could look for signs that the instrument cluster was removed, like fingerprints on the inside glass, and if the VIN is crooked in the little window..? A car with 150k will have a lot more interior wear too (seats, shifter, steering wheel). Lots of people really do let their cars sit for a long time. Ask yourself if the seller seems trustworthy.
You're selling a b5 and buying another b5?

as for the the mileage stuff, i doubt they reset the clock. your math is a little off lol 2005 was over 2 years ago. that raises a little concern, i would inquire as to whether or not the car sat for extended periods of time or if its was just driven short distances on the weekend but regularly.
