Default Engine minus Transmission

So I finally got my engine out, decided to pull with transmission and unbolt/remove tranny from engine afterwards...

All bolts from engine to tranny are removed, starter is out, I would think I'd be able to pull them apart now... but I'm wrong. Can anyone tell me what I'm forgetting?

It feels like I'm hung up on the clutch or something.. Is there some kind of release bolt I need to remove?

That's weird, on the 1.8t it just pops right apart, but I know on other cars the throwout bearing needs to be separated. Like on the evo for example, I had to hold the clutch fork all the way back and use a long and broad flathead to "release" the release bearing lol. I stuck it up in the inspection hole and looked with a flashlight to put the flathead inbetween by the wavey washer and turn the flathead so it pops apart. Dunno if 2.8's are like that too, but maybe.

That sounds like a strong possibility. I shall give it a glance. Thanks Faster.

Could be that the transmission input shaft is stuck in the pilot bearing. Have you tried to pry the 2 apart?

Lol I got it thank god. Somehow a black widow managed to make her home in side of my bellhousing, crawled across my fingers and now I have a new pet.

Just needed a lil "persuasion" with a pry bar huh?
Sounds like a shitty pet to me.
