Default Engine not starting, please help!

Long story short, my car isn't starting, don't have vagcom, thought it was the fuel pump so i replaced it with a new one, new fuel filter, new spark plugs and still not starting. Please help.

What year is your car? What motor? What's the behavior when you try to start it? i.e. no crank, crank but no start, clicking, etc. Can you hear the starter motor running?

My car's a 99.5 1.8TQM AEB. It's cranking but not starting, I can see the flywheel turn so I guess the starter motor is working, all belts are turning. Can it be the Crank position sensor? I will also check the fuel rail for pressure.

well the starter works since its cranking. You need to check for spark and fuel

If either the crank, cam, or engine speed sensors aren't working, the ECU won't allow the engine to start. Those are possibilities in addition to what JBJ said.

Scanning for codes will let you know about any bad sensors

LOL, I'm getting flamed for this because I don't have a vagcom(here and audizine) but I do have the ebay cable, which I'm trying to get it to work.

Do Advance and Autozone still scan cars for free? If you weren't on the wrong coast I'd lend you one of my scanners
