has any one shoehorned a 4.2 into a B5 yet? also i have a '99 2.8Q and i was looking to do a 2.7TT swap but i havent been able to find any decent info on the swap... i fear that my puke lil 2.8 may be on its way out thanks for any guidance

 

As for the 4.2 into a B5, not that I know of. But for the 2.7 from a 2.8, most likely not worth it. Just buy an S4.

 

there is a project 4.2 B5 in the works over on audizine, i believe sineo is doing a 4.2 also on her RS4 conversion, thinking of it now that might have been her car i saw on the zine. point is it can be done, carefuly and with deep pockets. a 2.7 can also fit in a 2.8 but, again, money wise its not really worth it unless its what you have your heart set on doing. it is cheaper to buy a car with the 2.7tt already in there.

 

theres not much info on the swap bc no one has really done it (exception mentioned above), and its not worth spending the money to do it. it just makes sense to sell your A4 buy an S4 instead.
