Exclamation Error Code P1559

Ran a VAG-COM on my 98 B5 A4 1.8tqm with the AEB engine last night and this code popped up. It has something to do with my throttle body, but I don't remember exactly what it is. Anyone know how to deal with this? I don't have my bently manual on me right now, but I'll post a better description when I get home.

I'm posting this in the WEST forum too so I can get local help. Cheers.

The code doesn't make any sense, it means that you need to adapt your throttle body but the AEB engine uses a cable driven throttle body. Did you buy a used ECM or something?

Adapt what? The cable? The reason you adapt it is to tell the throttle body module how much the valve is open or closed.
I would just erase the fault code and see if it comes back.

Did that. I had a ton of trivial error codes that popped up at first. Those were cleared and we ran another auto-scan. The second scan returned nothing. After a short drive, the check engine light came back on and we performed a third scan and had this code pop up. It might be worth trying a couple more times I guess...

Try adapting the throttle body with the VAG COM then, or leave the key in the on position for about 10 minutes, after clearing the code of course.
Then take it for a drive and see if it works, i will be amazed if it does.

I mean no offense as I appreciate all the help I can get, but, if you don't think this will work, why suggest it?
