Error Code P1559
Ok so is this something I can take care of with some fuel system cleaner? That seems like way too easy of a fix for this. Am I going to need to remove my throttle body and manually clean this valve?
I'm not sure carbon build up is really the problem here. If anything, it feels like the throttle valve isn't open enough. My car has dipped pretty low in RPMs a few times when I first start it up and it feels like it wants to die. Does that help to shed any light on this?

You only need to take off the intake line and spray the living hell out of the valve with some brake cleaner and use a cloth to manually open the valve and clean all the gunk out of there. You would be amazed how much 1% of throttle angle misalignment will mess with the engine managment, trust me. Once you have it all cleaned do another throttle body alignment and it should run like the day you bought it.
OK that sounds easy enough. Just to make sure I understand this though, all I need to do to realign my throttle body is to clear the error code with a VAG-COM and and leave my key in the on position or manually adjust it via VAG-COM? I'll play around with this sometime soon to see how it works out. Thanks for the tips. I'll be back soon with a report on how it went.
Yep, just leave the key in the on position for about 10 minutes or set it with the vag com in the adaption channels, you just have to find the correct channel. I can't remember which adaption block it is.
Two things: cleaned the hell out of my throttle body and, while it didn't fix the problem, it did increase my throttle response a bit.
Just got my APR chipped ECU in the mail today. While installing it, my brother and I noticed that the ground for my coil packs wasn't screwed into the block. It was just resting on the head. So every time that lost contact, my engine wanted to die. Makes a whole lotta sense...
Easy fix, but I feel like an idiot. Whatever. My car is running very smoothly now and it's quite a bit faster. Today was a good day.

My engine cover has been off for a few months now, actually. I really have no excuse here.
