Default euro plate......drilling the bumper??

How did you guys do this? I searched and didn't find anything.I havea stock a4 bumper and if I just used the mounting brackets from the stock plate, the euro plate would stick off on the sides and look lame in my opinion.... Did you just drill in?

That's what I've heard of everyone doing with self tapping screws. Also, if you keep the old plate frame on, it'll hang below and overall will look horrible.

i made it level/even.... then used the two factory holes... and drilled a few extra... you got to go through the crash bar... just make sure you don't go back to no plate or you will have ugly holes in the bumper

Yea...the whole reason I am putting on the euro plate is to cover up the three ugly factory holes. So.... self tapping screws... I'm thinkng Lowes or Home depot for them right. About how long should they be?
