Default Evolution Motorsports Intake

Ok so I am new to AF and new to owning an Audi. I went throught and read a bunch of the nembie threads which helped a lot.

I just have a quick question, I went on to EVOms looking for an intake for my 01 a4 1.8TQ and they did not have any products listed. So I went to the VW and they had an intake listed there. So my question is would that intake work for my car?

if it is for a passat like 96-05 then yea it could work but most people on here will direct you to making a "cheese box" or just throwing a cone filter on their from aut "gagging sounds" autozo.. " hurl" autozone.
personaly i got a carbonio intake from APR but its pricey and everyone will say you are dumb for buying it. but you get what you pay for. Call me dumb idc it works good and it
looks good when you open your hood to a crowd.

Are you looking for more power? If so then don't bother. The turbo is going to do the work for you. As long as your intake isn't clogged up (particularly the filter), you'll be fine. Spend the money on better things.

You are most likely looking at their intake kits for the transverse cars and those will not work on your longitude car. You can call them up and see if they still offer the ones for the A4 1.8t. The one they used to sell was just like the one LLtek sells.

Here is the EVOms intake listed on USP Motorsport.

Thanks for the help guys, yeah I know they aren't going to do much for power I was just looking for something to give it a little more growl. I'll take a look at the one from LLTek.

I'm not trying to go crazy with mods since I have almost 100,000 miles on my car. If it was a manual and had less miles i had look into putting the ko4 on their along with the intake, exhaust, chip upgrade and so forth. I saw that GIAC has a chip mod for the tiptronic but I just can see myself spending all this money on a car that is 10 years old and close to 100,000 miles.

I've looked at newer a4s but they don't seem to have as many aftermarket parts available as the older ones. I just love getting under the hood/car and workign on it.

But thansk again for all the help.

100,000 miles on an Audi is nothing. There are people on these forums with close to 300,000 and still going strong.

This is true, but with doing all the mods I was thinking about I'm not sure how it would perform as a daily driver(around 50 miles a day). Now I know that isn't a whole lot and if I took care of the car it could run for a long time to come, the only thing that worries me is driving on salt covered roads all winter long and the wear and tear from that every winter.
