I was looking at getting a techtonics exhaust put on my a4 but after seeing the cost being over $900 for cat delete downpipe and exhaust I decided to look else where. I was thinking about just going to my local exhaust shop and have them put on a cat delete test pipe like this:

and then having them put on a 2.5in exhaust on the rest with a performance muffler on it.

Now my questions.

With as small as the K03S turbo is would I have problems with boost spikes with a 3in cat delete like on the first link? Is there a place where I can get a 2.5in pipe like that in the $100 range? $250 is nuts for a techtonics down pipe.

The other concern I have is noise. On my turbo dodge I was running a 3in exhaust with a high flow cat and no muffler and it was pretty damn loud in the car. I like how quite the stock a4 exhaust is. I wouldn't mind a little more noise but for my daily driver I don't want to have that annoying loud exhaust drone when I'm on the high way.

Are people running 2 mufflers or just one? If 2 is it a straight through muffler followed by your traditional performance muffler?

throw a resonator on there, it should quiet it right up! (i have 2.5" custom exhaust with a magnaflow muffler) sounds amazing.... ive had borla on my car for a while too (before my current setup) and like this better IMO
