well... the only way u get the same sound as meeee, is by buying the muffler i have from ecstuning and doing a resonator delete... u MIGHT be able to achieve the desire effect by just doing a res delete.. but i would think it migh sound a lil raspy due to the small pipiing

Resonators do not weigh anywhere near 50 pounds, exhaust mods will not gain you ANY fuel economy, and it's a waste of money. And yes, removing the resonator will cause all sorts of drone.

Honestly, no offense intended here, but the guy said he's making $250 a week. Spending a single penny of it on exhaust is... not the best of ideas.

This guy is the biggest buzzkill on AF. Haven't seen one positive post from him. Although I do agree with the fact that OP only makes $250/week and nearly half of his monthly goes to insurance, buying mods shouldnt really be priority #1.

How do exhaust mods not improve fuel economy? Wouldn't most mods that make the engine inhale and exhale better make it more efficient and thus equate to better mpgs?

So people say, but show me some data, because they've never done anything for me. The difference in flow resistance is minor.

the reason they dont do mcuh or most people cant see it in their gas mileage is because once they get their new intake or exhaust they start driving like a D bag because they wanna see the difference in hp not gas mileage.. so in turn they sacrifice their better gas by driving louder or faster or both lol

I'm a fast driver either way, so not the case with me. Stock exhausts are rarely all that restrictive unless you're upgrading your power producing level. It baffles me that people make the assumption that making their exhaust piping 1/4" wider in diameter is going to open up all of these benefits in power and fuel economy. Manufacturers aren't (that) stupid.

well i never claimed i was doing it for gas mileage... i just said better mileage cuz i just took 50 pounds off the car... and if that only gets me another 1/4 mile per tank then oh well... least its better
