Extended the cage to front, and weighed PICS
So this weekend i finally got around to building the front part to the cage that i had before, so now its a full cage not just a 4pt roll bar... drew up the plans and then took them to an offroad shop because i knew that they would have a pipe bender, so they charged me an hour of labor to do the bends that i drew out for them... after the materials it ended up costing me $250to get this added on... and then included buying my buddy beer for borrowing his mig welder.
...oh yeah and the dash is gone too... and airbags... (which will be thrown in a dumpster and blown up)
And the answer to the ever ending question as to how much the car weighs... i stopped by a truck weigh station on the highway and asked the guy if i could roll onto the scale... he was surprised but excited to see the car so he let me on, weighed in at 3,080 with me in it... so the car itself with a full tank of gas weighs 2,900 lbs as compared ot the stock 3150, which i think is not bad considering i have the full cage in there now...
this is the front of the cage before i painted it the military green to go with the back part of it.
