Fan blades sheared, radiator punctured
I heard a bang toward the front while making a left turn into traffic, but I felt no difference.
When I'd parked, run my errand and returned to the car, the coolant had puddled under the front of the car.
I limped it a few blocks to my mechanic, and when I popped the hood, all the blades were sheared from the front fan, with blade shrapnel embedded in the radiator.
The engine runs fine, and the serpentine belt seems okay, so . . .
The mechanic thinks maybe engine mount, and under torqued, the fan hit the shroud.
Any ideas?
