Default Fan Switch Relay Replacement

I have a 2000 A4 2.8 Quattro Avant and I am have an issue where the aux. fan (a/c fan, electric fan, whatever you want to call it) is continuously running, Even with car off and key out of the ignition.

Read on a few forums that the problem is the fan switch relay/sensor. What I can't figure out is where it is located (lower radiator hose, underneath coolant tank, driver side, passenger side???) and what part I need to order (no one has give a part number that I can find, but some say it should be two pin and some say it should be four pin???).

Would love some info on the subject so I can get the damn fan to turn off when I leave my car.

Thank you!!!

I think it's not a relay but an entire unit instead?
I could very well be mistaken, so def get a second opinion.

That may very well be it, I was just under the impression it was a sensor from this thread (yes, I know it is an S thread but similar issue) Aux fan runs after the car shuts off, even when engine is cold

Thanks for replying, hopefully I get some more info!
