A Few Lighting Questions
Ok I have seen the 12 dollar xenon 8000 w/e's on ebay and I am wondering if they are **** or if they are the ****...... What are HID's are they worth the money, and I have seen what seemed to be a mod which is a line of leds i guess somewhere under each headlight..... what are those and how much are they? Also I have an a4 b5 audi FWD 98 what lights should I buy as in serial number or w/e...
Also I have done the headlight melting switch fix before and about 1 freakin month later they went bad again?????????? is there a replacement switch or some definite way of it not melting?

wow looks like you dont know much about, well, anything in terms of lighting on your b5 if im not misunderstood by your description. The ones on ebay are just blue tinted H7 halogen replacements (stock bulbs). If you want HID xenon lights, you need to convert your lights with ballast kits that run anywhere from $50-$400 depending on which ones you buy. You DEFINATELY need to research this (search tool is a great help) or maybe some really nice member will help you out here.
And yes, I ordered some "Xenon Blue" H7 Halogen replacement bulbs on ebay for my facelift headlights and they were like $25 for 6 bulbs (2 low beam, 2 high beam, 2 fog) and they actually work great believe it or not. I guess I got lucky, it depends on if you order the right ones.
Does your 98 have aftermarket projector headlights, if not, then dont get them, buy projectors before you replace any lights...good luck
