i put some hardcore paint stripper on there... its all gross and flakey and layered... i really dont wanna spend 4 hours sanding rims haha...... what grit would u suggest i use then? 200?

FINALLY!!!! me like. what you told them is right. use 600 to get the paint off and then use 1000 wetsand and it'll look awesome. you can paint after the 1000 grit too but i'd primer it first. obviously light colored primer if you go silver paint or black primer for black paint

600 seems a bit too fine though... like u really dont understand how bad these rims are... i might just use an electric sander

so when it comes to oooh and aaah cuz my car got lowered everyone has input, but when it comes to a technical question about how do i know which wheel bearing to order all of a sudden nobody knows? is auditech and mike like the only people that know anything on this site? ooh devil and kripto too

I dont know about the wheel bearing issue, but to get the paint off your wheels... there is this stripper that is in a bronze and silver spray can (dont know the brand off hand) Walmart has it it's by the paint and spray paint stuff, but it works awesome. Spray the area with let it sit for like a 1/2 take a hose or a power washer if you have one, and it should take most of the paint off, then just use a medium grit steal wool and it should get whats left off. hope that helps

Laquer thinner will get all the paint off then hit it with 600 then 1000. That'll level out the surface. I painted my rims with VHT engine enamel last winter and it's holding up great.
