Tired of messing around with the codes and looking for a little better sound quality, I finally found a great match for the A4/B5 dashboard: it has the ability to do complete red (out of 30,000 combinations) and sounds great on my Bose system, having both USB/AUX inputs...OK, it's not an Alpine, but it's definitely 2 steps up compared to the stock radio: it's the JVC KD-A605 (with 5V)

 

I wish my Pioneer HU was red . I hate the blue, it breaks up the flow of everything.

 

meh, i really wish i could put a radio in my car that looked as good as the stocker. that ones pretty close but it still too shiney plastic for me. if the stock radio had aux input/outputs on it that would be the ****.

 

ghost I loved how the stock player looked in my car. Even for a '96. Aftermarket HU's may be better overall, but the look just doesn't fit.

 

Agree, especially for the later model B5 where the bose hu is a 2 DIN style and displays info in the dash area as well as the radio.
