i've never had trouble getting the front end over bumps. it's the cat and flex pipe on the 2.8 that i have trouble with over larger bumps. it would be about a foot length area after the DP curve on the 1.8t. i've never had trouble with the oil pan. you really don't need it but it's good to have. i know that my car is low so i take it easy over bumps or avoid speed bumps in parking lots. i know things beyond your control may happen but if you're tight on money, just save up. i want to use a couple of deer warning signs for my underbelly pan. they are useless signs that wastes our tax money. i mean who needs to see a deer warning sign on the highway.

Yeah, I've had my car lowered for over 2 years and I've never wished I had a skidplate. My subframe has had some scrapes, but the oil pan is safe.

you just gotta make sure that sign is thick enough to protect. maybe spray paint it and stuff to make it less ghetto, if you want. keep the coils set to that height

now by spray paint how about would i go with that to keep the overall look of the sign without making it all one or two colors?.. taping off multiple times??
