Default Firewall/pedal mounts

Hi, my '99.5 1.8TQM has a really low gas pedal. I just replaced the throttle cable under the impression that it had been stretched, but it did not fix the problem. I am wondering if this is normal to feel such a low pedal on the 99.5, or if maybe something is bent under there... I cannot even force it to get higher up manually without the cable attached.

Also, when I step on the clutch/brakes all the way, the brake booster moves a little bit under the hood as if something is loose, allowing stuff to move under there. I guess some of the older Audis had a problem from braking/clutching so much that it cracked the firewall and it had to obviously be repaired. I am wondering if this could be my issue...

B5 owners unite and tell me what could be wrong with my car!

Any 99.5 owners who think their gas pedal is lowe than a different car? It's not much lower than the brake, but it touches the floor pretty easily.
