Default Flywheel decision help

So I finally tore out my tranny today on my 1.8t quattro. With an exhaust, intake, k04, fmic, chipped, stage 2 clutch, forge d/v. Should I be fine resurfacing my flywheel or do I need a single mass flywheel. They look expensive. Just need some opinions asap!

If you plan on doing BT, then I'd say go for the upgrade. Might as well since you have everything torn out anyway...

You will be fine resurfacing your flywheel if it is in good shape. If you switch to a Single Mass flywheel you will need to change your clutch disk because a SMF needs a sprung disk while a unspring disk is used for DMF.

Single mass flywheel will get rid of that annoying RPM hang that the dual mass flywheel has. So with a single mass flywheel the engine will feel more responsive vs the dual mass. Stick with a heavier steel flywheel, the lighter the flywheel the more gear rattle you will hear.

If you need to talk more about flywheels feel free to PM me.
