Default Flywheel F%$#ed??

So i took my flywheel to a machine shop to be resurfaced and they said they could do it... now my problem is that the try taking out the three guide pins on the contact side of the clutch disc because he said that he needed him out for him to do the job... now my problem is that the guy broke one of them and told me he couldnt do it ... and now im wondering if the flywheel is still usable or if this is gonna throw it off balance if its installed the way it is and cause even more problems? Im trying to keep it if possible... if not im gonna look into running a normal flywheel instead of a dual-mass.

if a shop broke it, id make them buy you a new one. minus w/e cost to have it resurfaced or something.

yea seriously.. they broke it so they fix it... if not file a complaint with the BBB and threaten them with court....

what u wanna do is give them a quote on a genuine Audi fly wheel... then give them a quote on a lightweight fly for cheaper... and hell u can prolly get a performance fly out of this deal haha

Can the pin be pulled out and another one be put back in instead? And if I left like that would it cause me anyproblems such as vibrations?

Dude threaten the shop! If I were you I would talk them into a new one for sure... It's really not that difficult if you know what to say and have time to push your point...

I could always have something setup for you to ship it to Clutch Masters so they can look at it and see if they can replace the broken pin and resurface the flywheel.

Looks to be a 2.8 flywheel.

If your interested let me know. CM is in Socal. I would ask them right now but the 2 people I deal with are at the drift event today and tomorrow.
