Default Flywheel Problems

Yesterday my 99 A4 1.9td started making a loud clunking noise when idle and driving.

After reading and doing a bit of searching it seems that the flywheel is to blame. I put it in 5th and raise the clutch a bit and the noise gets louder and faster.

The clutch seems to be ok and is not slipping its just making a terrible noise.

Basically I am looking for opinions on is it safe to drive? What are the risks of driving it like this just now. I deally I need to drive it for the next two weeks then I am off to India for a months and can look at getting it to get fixed when I get back.

From what I have read its worth getting the clutch and flywheel done at the same time?

Dave
