Around here the average is around $350 - $400 for a used one, it's ridiculous.

I'd pay $300 for one in good shape if I was really in a jam. I feel like there's so many floating around they should go for about half that.

I can snag one out of the junkyard for $50 (which I might end up doing since I'm starting to get the classic dentist drill.)

yep the price is ridiculous.

@CCA4 the blue smoke was from burning engine oil which somehow was caused also by the hybrid dv/bov, no idea how but it was losing half of it oil in 4 days. Now with one side of hybrid dv/bov blocked, everything is running fine, checked the engine oil, hasn't dropped since i filled it up after the fix

Sounds like he had some sorta hybrid DV/BOV like a Forge Splitter, and just blocked off the part that vents to atmosphere.

no no the port that vents back to atmosphere is not blocked, this is the port that is blocked. Don't know why but blocking this off fixed everything. Any ideas exactly why?

here it is, the port which i highlighted in the photo above is the one blocked off.

That's what happens when you live north of the border, everything is in the states and it'll cost a ton a take forever to ship something like a turbo. We don't have any massive online communities, we just piggyback off american sites so there's nothing like vortex classifieds for us.
