FMIC Choice and Install
The width of the core and the position and angle of the inlet/outlet are major factors for that. Most of the eBay cores have the inlet/outlets positioned at the bottom of the core and they're straight as opposed to angled back a bit. No chance you're gonna be able to keep the fogs that way. The Treadstone core in that GB on AZ has the inlet/outlets offset towards the middle of the core and they're angled back towards the engine slightly. This will allow you to keep the fogs, but the off-the-shelf piping kits are going to require some creative tweaking.
I agree though, $800 for custom piping is ******* crazy.

Keep in mind that you're going to need to do a lot of trimming and cutting and all kinds of fun stuff to fit that core behind your stock bumper. I'd also be surprised if you'll be able to keep the stock lower outer grille inserts, let alone your fog lights. That's an awful big core, what turbo are you gonna run with it?

the core he has is way too big to flip it. the inlet and outlet would be inside the rebar. he could try getting an intercooler with inlet/outlet in the center as long as the core isnt too tall.
