Default FMIC Choice and Install

So I have finally have decided which turbo to go with and plan to buy it soon. But my next decision is which front mount to buy. I have found this kit online and I have seen a writeup on it on Audizine about this kit being great. But I wanted your opinion on it guys. This is the kit:
AUTOBAHN88 FRONT MOUNT INTERCOOLER KIT AUDI A4 B5 1.8T / 1.8T QUATTRO TURBO | eBay

Also, I wanted to know if there is anything I should be told before I tackle the install.

Thanks in advance.

What turbo/boost/supporting mods are you going to be running?

Keep in mind that you're going to need to do a lot of trimming and cutting and all kinds of fun stuff to fit that core behind your stock bumper. I'd also be surprised if you'll be able to keep the stock lower outer grille inserts, let alone your fog lights. That's an awful big core, what turbo are you gonna run with it?

frst off, i highly doubt that core is worth that much money. most ebay **** is just that, ****, not to mention that piping wont work with a turbo other than k03/4. get either a treadstone or vibrant intercooler. good quality for cheap (around 250-300). for the piping just get a shitty ebay piping kit from cx racing for $100. because you have an 01 youd need to by a map sensor bung to weld onto the piping.

There's a group buy on AZ right now for a custom-made Treadstone core, there's a thread in the OT forum called "Donations" with more info

The main reason that I was looking at the kit was because it is made for my car and I don't want to buy the wrong piping. I've seen that kit installed on another car and yeah it could have the fogs but not the plastic pieces next to them. This is the thread I went through:https://www.audiforums.com/forum/b5-...ctures-130781/ also I thought that my year was supposed to have the MAP sensor? If I don't go with this kit how am I guarenteed good quality and fitment unless I buy from my local shop for twice as much?

Also, I read through that treadstone front mount and am sold on the idea of it. But not I'm unsure of what piping I would have to buy and from where.

The piping would either need to be custom or eBay. If you email the sellers like Autobahn88 and fastwayracer and ask for a piping kit separate from the core you should be able to get a full piping kit for < $100

Okay thanks man. Anyone specifically? I really want piping that won't require the removal of my fogs and whatnot and the local shop is saying like $800 for custom piping.

Thanks

thats redic for piping. You might have to get a smaller core for the piping not to interfere with the fogs.
