Front Bumper Accident - Need Help

no that's the side mount intercooler (SMIC). it's to cool the air from the turbo before it enters your engine. is there a hole in it? if not it should be fine but if so you can get one from another 1.8t or upgrade by getting one from an S4

Hell if you decide to keep the car and repair it, might as well get a fmic.

Thanks, dragon you are right the SMIC is fine. I will post some pictures shortly of how it is with everything back together.
My radiator is dripping coolant, but not so bad. Can I put radiator sealant in it? If so, how do I get to the radiator cap to add it or do I add to coolant resevoir. Or should I just get a new radiator.

I wouldn't look at radiator stop leak as a solution. Replace the radiator. Stop leak would be a last resort if you sprung a leak on the highway during a road trip. It's not a fix, only a band-aid.

the insurance company did not mess up. Thats about what i would expect for that car to sell for at an insurance auction. But still...i would keep it and fix it. It will certianlly be worth alot more to sell even with salvage papers (assuming you can make it street legal again).

I bought a hood and front bumper from them and was very pleased. If you need them to ship the parts it may cost a lot more. One of their warehouses was just an hour from my house so I just picked them up.
hood: $121.50
fender: $28.75
bumper: $67.57
core support: $80.50
i guess all you need after that is a headlight.

What a wrecked car would sell for at an insurance auction is NOT what a car is worth.

A car is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it but since insurance auctions are generally restricted to licensed dismantles, they pay very little for these cars. I am just saying that $500 doesn't seem too far off from what that car would bring at an insurance auction. Now if you fix it...
