Default Front bumper removal

I've had my front bumper off to the point where you have to grab the trailing edge of it and "kind of yank it out and down". But I have no feel for how much "out" or how much "down" or how much torque or how much force you need to apply. I've pulled it with enough force that I got pretty concerned that I was going to break something, and it still wouldn't come off.

Suggestions? Is there a detailed, step-by-step tutorial on how to remove the bumper -- preferably with video -- somewhere?

I use a set of plastic pry bars that I got from harbor freight for removing the bumper. Push them in between the fender and bumper and pry down on the bumper. Pull out on the wheel edge of the bumper and it will come free.

+1 Harbor Freight yellow plastic pry bars work well.

I push the end of bumper down and puill the top of the end out kind of at the same time. If you look at that bracket, what I'm doing makes sense. I always get it off, don't always get it back on right though.

+1

Taking it off gets easier with practice which I've lots of by the way.

It goes back on but never in the same location exactly. I've learned to squint when looking at it. Seems about right that way. I try to mind the gap but to no avail.
