so i have a boost/cut question on my 98 1.8tq. i was driving to school this morning and it is extremely cold out -10 f.. so it took forever for the car to warm up but when it did i started to rip it, theres 4 inch of snow so i couldnt help it.. well it was fine for a little bit then it hit full boost and started violently bucking and cutting out. i have a fmic, boost guage , turbo xs mbc. i only have the boost control in because when i put the front mount in it dropped the boost to about 5 psi instead of 8 so i turned it up to where it hits 8 psi under full load. i did the intercooler about 2 months ago and theres not been a problem till now. so what could cause the cutting out with no more than stock boost?

 

anyone? im planning on getting a chip this upcoming week and i need to see if this problem will effect the flashed ecu afterwards
