Gas MPG??
You saw my car driving in Miami?!? Maybe I should go out to the parking lot and verify it is still here!
holy **** you guys all suck... i just got 415 out of my tank... that was about 65/35 hwy city with some spirited driving of course.
I am BT though idk if that makes any difference, but i got the same before i went bt...
(I normally never wait until its below 1/4 tank, but i decided to let it go to the gas light, so i filled up immediately when it went on - maybe 2 miles into the light - i dont recommend that!)

I'd have to agree with flynnr, you guys must be doing something wrong with you're cars. Incase you didn't see my other thread, I just hit one quater million miles on my '99 1.8t quattro manual and I'm still breaking 400miles/tank. I had some trouble recently with a bad MAF and ICM (within a week of each other) but other than that it's the orginal block, turbo, cat and exhaust. The only mod (if you would even call it that) was a slightly better stock DV.
I do notice the mpg gets worse in the winter time, but even then I usually get more than 350mile/tank. And I'm poor so I always wait until the gas light come's on before I get gas, or at least pretty close. It usually takes just over 14 gal. to fill- do you guy with the lower numbers have smaller gas tanks?
28-29mpg, 11 year old car with 250K miles. now who would buy that?

Plugs, air filter, and tire pressure make a big difference. You may have a vacuum leak somewhere too. And an O2 sensor can be going bad and affecting your mpg without being bad enough to trip a CEL. MAF also plays a strong role in mpg. Hell, with mileage that bad I'd be checking to make sure your brakes aren't dragging. Even my 2.8qm with over 190k miles can get 32 hwy.
