Giac chip- group buy!
Thanks. The shop wants $1400 for a southbend stage two or three, cant remember. Mike can get me a good deal on a clutch/flywheel kit but then if I take it to the shop I'll need $1700. Its so expensive, I'm actually considering undertaking it. I know if I do, I'll kick myself for it. It'll just be a reason for me to "feel" something wrong with the clutch.

Yeah, I don't want to go to stock though, I want something that I'm not afraid to shift hard on. How is that stage three though, is it smooth and street-able?
Stage 3 is the closest to a race clutch, while still feeling stock, it feels great, but sometimes the flywheel is a little clunky because the SB LWFW are single mass, while the stock are dual mass flywheels, giving the car a smoother shift for a more "luxury feel". The Stage 4 is a HEAVY clutch.
It took me a while to get used to the engagement, catch point of the clutch, and although SB recommends about 750 miles of light break-in. It really didn't feel comfortable until about 1000 miles on it.

Not quite sure what you mean by "shift hard," if your rough on your clutch you'll be replacing it again shortly. The stock is fine, unless your thinking about BT.

Would you recommend a Stage III still? Or maybe a II? What about your LWFW? Should I stick with a dual mass?
lol, sorry about the question dump.
