their site lists the software going for $270+shipping in this group buy, for MSRP of $300. that is a 10% discount. thats a nice deal i guess but its not going to make people jump out of their seats.

This is not true GIAC is a much higher quality chip. Please do some research.

Yes for the 97-99.5, but for 00-01 it is 20% off.

a much 'HIGHER QUALITY' chip?? how do you figure? lol its the same ECU with the software tweaked... how can it be higher quality? i would put money on someone doing a quarter mile with an ST tuned ECU, recording the time, then swapping to a GIAC ecu, running again and comparing the times that they would be within .1 seconds of each other given the same person driving and shifting identically...

what research have YOU done, Jmgrande, that proves GIAC is higher quality?!

This doesn't even dignify a response. I don't need to explain anything, just read the speedtuning thread and see how many people are unhappy with it. Find me someone who is unhappy with a GIAC chip.

i guess 10% off isnt a bad deal.
I have already seen other people post that they had problem with the Speedtuning chip and then were told they would not get a refund, after that they went to a GIAC chip and the car ran perfect. If a tuners product is perfect and is just a product that just happens to be a copy that they put in each car then why would they not refund a customer that was having nothing problems? That is not how you back your product as a company.

I did just that 8 years ago with the APR chip I had in my car and then swapping to a standard GIAC chip that was in a friends ECU. I dropped .3 of a second with the GIAC chip on the first run.

I have owned the 1/4 mile A4 K03 record for 8 years with a 14.29 at 97 mph. Let me know when a A4 with the ST runs in the 14's.

Actual its the perfect time, because there are people still on the fence after reading about all the peolpe that have had nothing but problems with their ST chip and the ones that got bent over by being told they would get NO refund can now get a GIAC chip at a discount.
