I noticed some small screw holes in the top of IC. Don't know how deep they are. Could it be leaking from there by the way I'm in Atlanta

Those bungs should be welded to the core, I'd be surprised if they're leaking but its possible. If you want to test it, take the core off the car and use an air compressor to pressurize it to 10 or 15 psi and listen for leaks

Design and quality of the IC will also determine a lot. If it's a $75 eBay tube/fun design, don't expect much. Bar and plate cores are more efficient but more costly. And as stated above, if you have a big core, the turbo is probably straining to fill it.

Oh ok. CCA you said you know how to create a tester? Also what about the turbo seals can I have a mechanic replace them? I have a oldschool hks bov I'd like to throw on will it work?

I mean nothing, I'm for in the future references because I eventually want to put on the 71r. so I'm trying to get a list of all what I would need to have the setup. Btw thanks for the link.

ohhhhhh gotcha. Sorry, I was confused.

A BOV will work if you're running a MAF-less tune, otherwise you'll run rich in between shifts and probably throw a CEL.

Usually to have a turbo rebuilt you'd have to send it back to the company who made it in the first place, or DIY. Your average auto shop wouldn't touch that job.
