Talking Is this a good deal?

I can't tell if it's something I should take a look at or if it's something I should stay far, far away from.

Still haven't entirely made up my mind if I want to get a B5 or B6 S4.

Right. That's my main concern; if I go with a B5 S4 I'm going to want to get to the stage 3 point anyway, but at the same time I'm always hesitant to buy heavily modified cars due to all the unknowns.

I'd buy a stock S4 and build it up slowly, that way you know exactly what's going on with the car.

Exactly. I don't even want to imagine the kind of abuse that car has gone through.

That's more or less what I was thinking. Thanks for the input guys. Now the real question - B5 or B6.....

Precisely. Seems like the V8 would be more reliable being NA, but I've read you can get more power out of the 2.7T, and the styling of the B5s is better than that of the B6s. That V8 sure sounds wicked, too.

B5 FTW. Do it. Nothing like neck snapping boost.
