IS this a good deal
There is a 2001 audi a4 quattro 1.8t. It has 108,000 miles on it. It had the timing belt and water pump replaced already. It has new tires on it and new brake calipers. It has the bose speakers. It is at a dealership and they are asking 8900$ for it. Is this a good deal or is there anything in particular that I should ask them about?
that's a fair price. is there anything else included like a warranty? and as paintballguy mentioned.. what about service records? I would try to work the price down to $7900. 8900 isn't really a good deal, more like a fair deal. throw them a lowball offer and see if you can get them to budge... they'll either lower it a little if they've had it for a while, or they'll tell you to go screw yourself. if you offer something closer to 8400, they'd probably take it.
Their is a carfax history report on it. The dealership said it doesnt include warranty with it. But i would try to get some kind of warranty out of him. I have looked at the carfax but im not sure what to check for on it.
im sure you could get him down a little ways. i bought my car for a few grand under book. it was something close to $9000 book value. of course, dealers will budge alittle bit. maybe if you can put forth a trade too?
try to get them down to $7900 and go from there. how much are you willing to pay? you could call them and tell them that if you brought X amount of cash TODAY, would you accept it? you know, deal with them too. remember, they are trying to make bank on used cars so make sure you can what you are paying for.
