Illinois is one of those PITA states to drive in. Strict emissions, tints, wheel width clearance laws, front plates are required and a whole bunch more. Luckily I live in a rural county 1 hr from Chicago so no emissions but cops are all over tints. It sucks here.

i have 15% tint on my car witht he black intertior and it looks really dark...i have a PBA card in Nj and its at the point where i get pulled over that the PBA card doesnt mean anything dont plan on getting away with tint at the jersey shore!

The cops pulled over my friend for his 20% tint but he just said the shop didn' tell him it was illegal.

 

ehh i cought my first tint ticket the other night. the cop was just bein a douch bag though, he rolled up on me and a bunch of my friends for 'suspected street racing' and wrote as many tickets as he could. i got 2, one for 17% on the tints(i thought it was 20% but i guess theres some stock color in the window)and another for no front plate diplayed (even though it was in the window) he gave me one of those forms to fix the plate casue i pulled the whole 'i just got the bumper and the bracket didnt come in yet' which is kinda true, but i didnt tell him its gunna be a euro bracket with a euro plate. w/e that cop was a dick casue me and my friends were just talking about our cars casue we hadnt seen each other in a while, but i guess thats a crime nowadays.

and younggentalmen where are your from? i live on LI also and ive met many of the cops on the southern.
