First thing I would do is make sure all the maintenance is in order especially the major ones. After that is done then you can start on the cosmetic and performance upgrades, but that's just my opinion.

welcome!

looks like you got a sweet deal. only 48,500 miles? thats awesome. wish i picked up mine at that low. mine only had 140,000 when i bought it lol.

i'd check out the "newbie" guide:

https://www.audiforums.com/forum/audi-a4-8/newbie-guide-version-2-a-80968/

has alot of helpful info for first time audi owners.

WOW! 48K!! AWESOME!! She looks 99% identical to mine when I first got it but it had 120k =/. Give it a good detail and change all fluids, filters and do an inspection and normal maintenance.

Mine loooks beautiful right now!! Just did clay bar, polished and waxed =)
Good Luck

Welcome to the forums!

I think everyone pretty much pitched in on what you should do but I would totally get those headlights and taillights upgraded to the facelifted ones (better yet, get the OEM Euro ones).

There aren't really that many upgrades when it comes to engine for the V6. Unless you're going for a supercharger, I believe there are only basic upgrades such as intake and exhaust you could do to the 2.8.

^ I probably don't know as much as other people but you can get claybar at your local auto shop (Pep Boys, Kragen, Autozone, etc.).

First I would take care of any maintenance that needs to be done. As for upgrades, if that were my A4 my priorities would be lowering it with coilovers and putting some 18" rims on there. Stay away from black or chrome rims IMHO. Another cheap and easy upgrade is to get a different grill. 2.8's are limited as far as performance mods go, so I would stick to the cosmetic ones.

Pick it up at Advance Auto (Meguiar's and Mother's both sell kits) and bring it over. You want your ride looking perfect? Come down with that kit, and when you leave you'll have done the claybar, high-speed buff, polish, and wax. It'll look brand new, guaranteed.
