Yeah sounds like it was the EC 1.8t challenge article. Picture of me and a Friend name Tom was in the picture with me for that event. To think that was back when I was running GIAC tuning and only pushing around 20psi making under 400whp running 12.7 at 119 mph for that event, next fastest car in that event went 13.7. Since then I have added another 250whp and shaved 2.2 seconds off my time. Funny part is that the 1.8t challenge was done on the old Fontana track that ran east to west, that day was not a good one since there was a nasty head wind. The new Fontana track runs West to East and is much slower since it is a slightly up hill.

Well people are more then welcome to email Eurotuner and EC asking why they haven't done a article on an A4 1.8t that is actually making 400hp per liter without the need for Nitrous.

hey mike, why dont you stop showin off and find out what the deal with my head is man lol j/k, no rush.

speaking of your accomplishments. I saw that the 034 VR6 turbo swap A4 only run a 10.7 on a 40r... whats up with that? Seems like it woulda shot out a better time than that?

That would be from the last Eurotuner GP, they make everyone run a street tire from a company that is sponsoring the event.

IIRC they also said the tranmission they had in the car was geared for road racing causing them to shift into 5th gear while drag racing. This is why their MPH was up around 149. They were also forced to stop running because they did not have a chute which is needed for running 150+ mph.

Yea i knew about the street tires, but still it was kind of disappointing.. I would think they would have that thing chuted, its got everything else. Too bad they couldnt have brought a proper tranny and did a few passes on slicks. I know they still blew the event out of the water, but it would have been much worse.

Sorry to thread jack, OP whats your budget, you'll get exactly the answers your looking for.

They didn't really build the car for drag racing, its built for road racing and dyno events.

I wish I could get invited to run my car at that event.

OP: ATP and GIAC both have an elim kit. they'll put you at the power you want. i don't think the GIAC kit is as easy to bolt on as the ATP kit though.

ya that 034 car is a beast but i remember them having all these ridiculous rules for the cars. well the falken 452s really exploded in sales after that lol. mike do you do circuits at all? i love how the mini engine blew up lol

OP, I know a certain someone with a crazy fast car in this thread is not allowed to really promote a certain website due to advertising issues, and already being banned from at least one other forum, but you can find some good stuff at a pretty good price to get you right where you want to be with your power goals. I've been looking around myself for similar HP, for once I can afford it. Check out a 2871 Elim kit complete with injectors and software, add in a FMIC and high flow exhaust manifold, and you should be there, or if you have plans to upgrade in the future, try the 2871r with custom exhaust manifold.
