GT28rs housing bolts torque
the GT28RS I purchased came with the compressor housing bolted on backwards, with the compressor housing outlet facing twoard the block instead of straight down, so I need to remove the bolts and turn it around, just wondering what I should toque the bolts back down to?

RE: GT28rs housing bolts torque
you do not need to remove the bolts completely, just loosen them all and you can rotate the compressor housing. this is called clocking the compressor.
recommended torque for the compressor housing bolts is 145-165 in-lbs. however, considering this is going into aluminum, i would be very careful with tightening them that much, ESPECIALLY the two that are also going through the wastegate actuator bracket (which is thicker than the other 2 brackets that are holding the housing on). since the bolts are so short, i stripped one of the holes at the top and it would no longer thread. i had to go out and buy a longer bolt for it to work, but it did. i would say no more than 120 in-lbs.
