Default gti motor swap into a4?

Hi everyone this iz my first post im hoping to become a new member of the euro tuning world. I have virtually no experience working with euro cars in general so i bring my questions to you. Im looking at buying an 01 Audi a4 quattro for 3200. The guy has admitted to swapping the blown audi 1.8t motor with the 1.8t motor from a gti i was wondering:
1) would this even be possible with the awd quattro system?
2) am i looking at future problems mechanicaly for instence i understand the gti weighs less than the a4 is this swap going to play hell on the suspension?
3) lastly is this at all worth the 3200 im going to spend trusting the guy he says there is 130k on the new motor?
Thanks in advance for any reply hope to become a valued member of this forum

The GTI block and head are identical, it's only the external stuff like manifolds, accessories, mounts, oil cooler, etc that are different. Since he already had those parts from the blown motor the only way you'd know the motor was swapped would be the engine code on the head. I don't understand what the suspension has to do with this.

Ok so basically its still the same car? I wad asking about the suspension because i wasnt sure if the car itself being heavier than the car the motor came out of if it would have trouble moving it but i guess it dosnt matter because they are basically the same engine...i appreciate the reply

The cars are completely different. The engines are the same on the inside and kind of on the out.

This is what will transfer from the gti to the audi-

Engine block and internals
Cylinder head and internals
Timing belt system

That's about it. Notice how oil pan and valve cover are not included in that list. The motor mount brackets will need to be swapped over, as will the manifolds and everything else. Sensors like crank sensor and knock sensors will need to be used from the Audi, but will bolt up to the GTI engine.
