So, with 262k miles on the H&R coilovers, is it time to replace them? They're supposed to be "lifetime" on the cars... But I don't think they expected us to keep the car this long... From our records, it appears they were installed at 32k miles... We're at 294k miles now!
Can someone tell me if we can buy "just the shocks" portion of the coilovers? Or do we need to rebuy the entire shocks+springs?
We still have the original shocks and springs. I am tempted to just put these back in, but the wheel gap would be hideous. I'd like to try Bilstein's with the stock springs, but I'm thinking the wheel gap would also be hideous.
Thoughts anyone?

That's just impressive, I ever would've expected any strut to even close to that long on a B5. At this point the springs are probably not in the best shape, you'd be best off replacing everything.

The problem with these warranty claims is that they count on you never having to have kept the receipt... Or I'd be surprised if they didn't want blood samples as proof as well! Originally Posted by A4 2000
