Thought i would share the latest happenings with my car.

Took her in to have the lowers painted, and the roof painted black. Here she is so far. I go back to the shop Monday to get the rest of the roof painted (from the bottom of the windows, up, is going to be black)

I'm going to have them re-look at what paint they used because the lowers are a hair whiter than the rest of the car. I'm suspicious that they used the wrong code, but it may be that the paint needs time to fade...idk

I still have some cleanup work to do, and i need to remove the two white pieces from the front lower valance. But i'm digging the way she's starting to look. Anyways, here's how she sits at the moment:

looks good but the lowers do look a little off... also you should have the hood and trunk painted black too

ya the price and the paint on the lowers suck. the paint on the lowers does not look like audi's pearl white at all. looks more like a plain white paint with no pearl in it. i'm guessing you're a busy guy like many but god daym 1400 is way outa control lol

 

They do look a tad lighter but like you said it might just be your other paint has faded some but mention it to them and see what they say.

carbon fiber would be better imo.

 

looks good, but don't paint the rest of the greenhouse black, I don't think it would look that good. If Anything get the roof painted black and then the raised part of the hood, that would look amazing but I think it looks good the way it is now.

 

^^Agreed - do NOT paint the rest of the cockpit black, that'll look terrible. Other than that, looks good!
