Fixed the ash tray about an hour ago. It was a real pain in the a$$ to do, but I managed to fix it. Turns out that there were a ton of bobby pins, a penny, a business card, a hair scrunchie (don't know if that's how you spell it), and some cardboard "Pirates of the Caribbean" thing. I used a coat hanger to pull it all to the front. Then I took duct tape to pull it out further. I sometines wrapped some duct tape around the coat hanger also, which is what retrieved the scrunchie. Now it works like a charm. I think there's still another coin back there, but it's not interfereing with anything, so I'll just leave it.

very nice, that's the first thing I did to mine when I first brought it home. I took the whole dash apart though. I found a bunch of treasures... some money, receipts, even a calling card to Mexico!

Seems like everyone has a horror story about the ashtray. Pain in the *** when they jam up. If all else fails, remove the center tunnel and you can get at it from behind that way (it's more work though).
