yeah, onepoint8tee i've experienced some pretty crappy service with the techs over at the audi dealership i've been taking my car to. a month ago or so i had my car serviced for a brake light switch and vacuum pump to my car..they said getting the vacuum pump fixed would maybe solve the bucking i had with the car. needless to say after i leave the dealership and look at the receipts, it shows the diagnostic of the car and to see below on the receipt itself had said..cylinder 4 misfired, cleared and okay. i drive my car 30 minutes after and it starts bucking again..cylinders 4 and 6 had cracked lines and the stupid dealership failed to tell me about it, after i had all that done to the car and couldn't have told me while i was patiently sitting in the waiting lounge for two hours.

yeah its just upseting that they do that but whatever i guess
i still love my ca and i dont think im going to get rid of it any time soo like in this month
but hopefully i will

but i wish i had the ability to fix most of the problems but
i dont have the knowledge to do so or i would
just not get it fixed if i couldnt do it
and plus i worry too much about something being broken not to fix it

i know i made the right choice as well going from a 2005 honda accord LX 4 cylinder automatic to my 98 a4 2.8 quattro tiptronic..some might see it as a downgrade, but really with awd i feel as if it's a hell of a lot safer than the honda..only advantage to that part was the fact the honda had side curtain airbags as well..

All you need is tools, ambition, and this site. Even experienced Audi tech's can make a misdiagnosis. They arent robots!

this isnt an extreme problem...

two things go wrong and all of the sudden its an unreliable car ?

do yourself a favor and get rid of it now, if you already consider it unreliable

+1, and no offense but if you roam this site allot you should be gaining knowledge of your car, I think its time to stop reading the can my stock 1.8t beat my friends mustang threads and meander into some more technical write-ups.

thats understandable, things can seem a little overwhelming when its a persistent problem that’s costing you money you feel like you shouldn’t have to spend.
