i just picked up a 96 a4 quattro, with the 2.8 12v motor, now im asking to see if anyone has done anything with it in terms of building it for all motor, i didn't come for answers about getting the supercharger or going to the 1.8t or 2.7t. im sending my cams out here in about a week to have regrinds done, i know that i wont be able to get off the shelf rods or pistons, but has anyone else custom ordered pistons around 12.5.1 and if so what sort of numbers did you make, and how did it run? i plan on ordering some custom rods and pistons to build it high compression as it will be my track car once i finish the motor, the reason for doing this is no one else has done it and i want to build an all motor car for somewhat better reliability. any info on what anyone has done would be nice. car is my daily until i get my turbo civic tuned, also picked up another 12v motor which will be the new power plant i build for the car.
