I know this line of turbos is not on the cutting edge like Garrett or Borg Warner but they are tried and true. They have been proven to be excellent spooling turbos for their size and still make excellent hp. The small 16G has been proven on the DSM to spool to 20psi in 3K range and still make north of 300awhp. With the VAG higher flowing head and similiar stroke they should spool a turbo fairly decently. You can make anywhere from 200awhp-400awhp with the 16G-20G setup. Parts are readily availible and you can buy these used for $250ish in excellent shape.

I have personally used them and customed built them with T04E compressors as they spool faster then comparable T3 turbines.

I have looked at several dyno's but have yet to see anyone try this turbo line.
