Default To have Brake shields or to not???

I finally did my A8/TT brake conversion on thursday 6/18 and i came up with an small question concerning the brake shields

is it better to remove them?
bent them a little bit?
or get brake shields of a TT?

I have seached and found info saying that any of the 3 ways is ok but nothing says why one is better then the other

leave them on. why would you need to bend them, they fit just right? brake dust can get into little corners and cause premature corrosion. how do they feel? i felt like hitting a wall when i first got mine lol

The stock shields should fit the A8 rotors. If they are a hair close, push them back gently and evenly. Leave them in place. I believe the A8 and TT shields have different mounting points anyway.

I took mine off for now since one of mine was bend to hell and the write up on audidiy.com said to take them off and my mechaniac said to take them off or get tt shields.

as for the braking diffance it is very noticable im sure it will be even better when my new pads get here
